- DoD Information Assurance Awareness Training
- This training has been developed to fulfill Information Assurance training requirements mandated by the signed DoD Information Assurance Awareness Training Requirement memo. This course will satisfy the following requirements: Information Assurance Awareness initial certification and refresher courses.
- Information Assurance Security Officer (IASO) (Management Level 1)
- This course provides individuals an understanding of the information systems security policies, roles, responsibilities, practices, procedures, and concepts necessary to perform the functions of an Information Assurance Security Officer (IASO). The lessons presented here will aid the IASO in developing an effective, overall security approach and in selecting cost-effective controls to meet the requirements of laws, directives, and regulations.

- Security+ Course
- These hands-on courses have been developed to train Department of Defense personnel to recognize vulnerabilities and defeat potential threats within the computer and enterprise environment.
- The Security+ track is designed to prepare students as they pursue Security+ certification as required by DoDD 8570.1-M.
- NMS (Network Manager Security) Course
- The Network Managers Security track provides hands on instruction in the secure operation of firewalls, routers, web servers, wireless access points, and Intrusion Detection Systems.
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
- This course is designed to prepare students as they pursue a CISSP certification. CISSP is a curriculum that covers a wide range of subject matter in a variety of Information Security topics.
- UNIX Systems Administrator Security Course
- UNIX students will learn fundamental security practices that establish the very foundation of UNIX security. But the course does not stop with the fundamentals as it addresses many of the security issues that affect UNIX administrators.

SKILLPORT ONLINE COURSES

- CIO G-6/NETCOM Information Assurance Technical Level 1 Certification
- This group of courses has been designed to familiarize the student with basic and advanced Operating System functions (Windows 2003, Windows XP), Encryption Technologies, Active Directory, Intrusion Detection, and Firewalls.

- CIO G-6/NETCOM Information Assurance CISSP (SKILLPORT)
- This course educates users to demonstrate the required level of technical and/or managerial skills and experience required to perform duties of IA Manager. It is DoD policy (DoDD 8570.1) that “the IA workforce knowledge and skills be verified through standard certification testing.” Consequently, Army IA personnel must attain and maintain Information Technology (IT)/IA certifications appropriate for the technical and/or managerial requirements of their position.

OTHER COURSES

- Computer Network Defense Course (Technical Level 3)
- (Ft. McCoy) This hands-on two-week 80hr course will provide the student with the knowledge to defend systems, networks and applications against some of the latest computer threats plaguing the federal government. System Administrators and Network Managers will be taught advanced techniques in providing information defense protection on computer systems and networks through real-life situational training exercises. Operating systems utilized will include: Windows Server 2003R2/ XP/Vista and Linux (Server 2008 will be taught in 4th QTR of FY10). Students who have obtained their CISSP may apply 80CPEs towards certification maintenance/renewal. The CND course also provides an accommodating track for students aspiring to pursue the GCIA and GCIH certifications.
